Striping Technician Full Time

• Role: Striping Technician / Line Painter
• Location: Bahamas
• Sector: Road Construction
• Remuneration: US$75k/yr (Tax Free) + Accommodation + Transportation + Benefits.

A road construction company is seeking an experienced Striping Technician / Line Painter for long term opportunities on new asphalt road construction projects in the Bahamas.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• L2 NVQ Diploma in Roadbuilding and Maintenance (Construction) – Pavement Marking (Manual) (A pre-requisite).
• At least 7-10yrs of operating in a similar capacity.
• Competent working with Thermoplastic/Paint (machine and hand molds).
• Striping and Marking to technical UK Chapter 5 Manual Standards and Requirements, unless deviations are pre-approved.
• Train company staff in all facets of striping and road safety management.
• Advise on and ensure the setting up of prescribed and contracted road safety and traffic management protocols.
• Attend meetings with clients, engineers’ technicians, and/or third parties to supply technical information.
• Ensure that all scheduling, pre-planning, and ordering of materials are completed in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
• Responsible for organizing workflow and the efficient use of materials and supplies.
• Perform any other job-related duties as required by Management.
• Must have management experience – ability to oversee and manage, and lead a Team.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision

• Effective Listening Skills, as well as strong Verbal and effective communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office products – Word, and Excel.
