Overview

My client is a leading Contractor operating in the Luxury Residential and Commercial sector, and they are seeking an experienced Site Setting Out Engineer to join their team during the critical finishing stages of a large, high end villa project. This role combines traditional setting out responsibilities with broader site engineering oversight, ensuring precision, quality, and seamless coordination across all finishing works.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical capability, excellent site management skills, and a proven track record delivering high specification residential or hospitality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Setting Out & Technical Duties

• Carry out all setting out activities for architectural, structural, and MEP elements throughout the finishing phase.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure accurate execution on site.
• Verify levels, alignments, and dimensions for all finishing works, including partitions, ceilings, joinery, stonework, tiling, external works, and specialist installations.
• Maintain precise site records, surveys, and as built documentation.

Site Engineering & Coordination

• Act as the primary site engineer for finishing works, coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and the project management team.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure works are executed in line with approved drawings and standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to avoid delays or rework.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

• Lead the QA/QC process for all finishing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and high end quality expectations.
• Conduct inspections, prepare checklists, and manage approval workflows with consultants and clients.
• Monitor workmanship and materials, ensuring all installations meet luxury grade standards.

Site Supervision & Management

• Oversee day to day site operations within the finishing scope.
• Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Coordinate sequencing and interface between trades to maintain smooth progress.
• Work closely with Finishing supervisors.
• Report progress, risks, and issues to the project manager.

 Qualifications & Experience

• 5–10 years post graduate experience, with a strong background in high end residential, hospitality, or luxury villa projects.
• Proven expertise in setting out during finishing stages.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and finishing standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, laser levels) and relevant software.

• USD 100,000 – 120,000, negotiable based on experience and capability.
