Site Engineer – Construction Full Time

Wymondham Associates are working with a long-term client who is seeking to bring in an experienced Construction Site Engineer from within the Main Contracting arena.

This leading contractor is seeking to strengthen its On-Site Delivery Team with the hire of an experienced Site Engineer for involvement in a large new build project. Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate at least 5 years in a similar position on construction projects; will have worked on commercial and industrial new build and fit-out works, and should be able to point to significant experience on major construction projects of more than 25,000 sq. ft. / $20 million.

Responsibilities of the successful applicant(s) will include:

• Day-to-day management of the works on our construction projects, including management of junior staff and the supervision of subcontractors.
• Engineering record keeping and surveys, site setting out, laying out of grids, the preparation of redline as-built drawings where required and the supervision and training of junior staff.
• Management of Owner EDMS, RFIs, submittals, as-builts and general management of quality control process.
• Management of the site safety plan, the preparation of job hazard analysis and risk assessments for all work, safety meeting minutes, incident reports and investigations.

The successful applicant(s) will have a recognized engineering (degree) qualification and should have experience with Leica/Trimble Total Stations and their associated control software. The ability to read / prepare construction drawings on Autocad and / or experience in the preparation and update of schedules would be an added benefit.

All successful applicants will be self-motivated individuals, will be good timekeepers and will have a flexible approach to work. They should have good communication and computer skills. A proven ability to work as part of a site-based project team, liaise with Owners, Design consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers is a must.

The project is currently in preconstruction, and will be looking to commence on site in February 2026, and the hiring process is commencing now in lieu of a work permit process.
