Quantity Surveyor Full Time

• Role: Quantity Surveyor
• Location: Caribbean
• Sector: Construction – Commercial and Luxury Residential
• Remuneration: US$80k-$90k + Vehicle + Relocation Flight + Local Benefits.

My client is a progressive and expanding Main Contractor within the Caribbean region who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor, so this would suit someone currently at a more Intermediate level within their career, or someone who has recently stepped up into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role. Due to securing new contracts and an already healthy pipeline of work, my client is keen to bring someone into the team who is looking for their next long term career step.

Single projects can range from US$10m to upwards of US$60m across the Commercial and Luxury Residential sectors.

To be considered, you will have/be:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
• A solid background within a UK or Caribbean ‘Tier One/Tier Two main contracting’ environment.
• Experience of new build Commercial projects of values from US$10m+.
• Full project lifecycle exposure.
• Preconstruction/Estimating exposure (advantageous).
• Prior/current Caribbean and/or International experience is advantageous (but not essential).
• Between 5–8 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Procurement of materials from both local and overseas suppliers.
• Updating senior managers on the procurement and commercial activities.
• Assisting with Estimating and Bidding.
• Carrying out Value Engineering.
• Preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Setting Budgets & Preparing cash flows.
• Contract Administration.
• Prepare Interim payments & Approving payments for suppliers.
• Monitoring the construction cost during construction.
• Preparing Valuations, Measurements and Variations.
• Preparing Cost Value Reconciliation.
