Project Manager – Puerto Rico Full Time

My client is a progressive Contractor operating within the Marine Construction/Heavy Civils market place and they are currently engaged on a large marine project within Puerto Rico. My client is looking to bring in a seasoned Project Manager with a solid background in the delivery of Heavy Civils and/or Marine Construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Marine and Civil Construction – with preferred experience in the piling industries:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the successful delivery of the pier rehabilitation project, ensuring it meets quality, cost, and schedule targets.
• Develop, maintain, and report detailed project schedules, cost breakdowns, and progress updates.
• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and subcontractors for timely delivery of project milestones.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, including cost analysis and progress tracking.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, especially for marine and civil works.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, while maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, contracts, and change orders.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in project management, specifically in civil works, piling, and marine projects.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in project reporting, including detailed progress and cost breakdown reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions, and data analysis) and Microsoft Projects
• Previous experience working on projects in Puerto Rico is highly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to navigate and adapt to local regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
