Director of Construction (Client side) Full Time

Our client is a leading Hospitality business and they are seeking to recruit a Director of Construction to work in the Caribbean region. As Director of Construction, you will be responsible for managing all construction projects carried out in the area, working with both internal teams and external contractors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization and further develop your career. Initial project oversight will be a new build and renovation scheme of US$100m, and alongside this, there will also be the oversight of additional projects in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Plan, coordinate, and organize all new construction and renovation projects.
• Participate in the design and development of new construction projects.
• Oversee project execution to ensure works are completed within the approved budget and to the required quality standards.
• Report regularly to senior management on the status and progress of ongoing projects.
• Ensure compliance with established deadlines and budgets.

What We Are Looking For:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Architect, or in a similar role. Previous experience in hotel and/or resort construction projects is highly desirable.
• Client side delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques, together with analytical skills and experience using project control and reporting tools.
• A university degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience as a no.1 lead on projects over US$75m+.
• Experience in multi-site/-location project delivery.
• Excellent monitoring and supervisory skills.
• A responsible, solution-oriented, adaptable, hardworking, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Availability to travel frequently and reside in different Caribbean countries.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
