Chief Engineering Manager – Luxury Hospitality & Residential Full Time

My client is a serving construction business with a Facilities Management (FM) / Hotel Engineering business stream. Due to intrinsic growth, they are seeking to recruit a Chief Engineering Manager for the business and they will oversee a current FM team over various luxury resort / residential developments within the Caribbean.

The Role:

• Reporting to the Contracts Manager, MEP Director, and Managing Director
• Direct Reports: Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Operatives, Pool Servicing Operatives and AC Technicians who sit within the FM team structure.
• Supporting and managing facilities management division of the business including:
  • Management and oversight of FM division.
  • Responsible for the programming/planning of FM team workload.
  • Responsible for regular monthly monitoring and reporting to the contracts manager.
  • Line management of facilities manager.
  • Ensuring FM team inspections, for PPM, pools and AC are all scheduled and completed in accordance with schedule.
  • Manage reactive workload, including pricing and issuing of quotes to client for reactive works.
  • Management of facilities management software (Fieldview) which is used to record all facilities management inspections.
  • Lead technical reviews of issues arising from daily planned preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Maximize team performance using standard processes.
  • Liaise with client during weekly property management meetings, reporting on problems and issues found.
  • Administrative management of fieldview software, signing off reports and saving these on both the internal FM drive and external client google drive.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all planned preventative maintenance/FM issues issues internally.
  • Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety for Staff and those working around Staff.
  • Ensuring that basic facilities are well-maintained and conducting proactive maintenance.
  • Budget tracking and management.
  • Lead on the procurement of facilities management materials required to complete inspections.
  • Support the generation of technical papers and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure submittal of weekly reports on FM activities
  • Client Liaison.
  • Quality Control and Assurance.
  • Payroll and Staffing Management, including HR of FM service team.
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Contracts Manager, MEP Director, or MD.

Renumeration:

• Renumeration for your services is negotiable dependent on experience.
• You will be provided a phone with a data package and Laptop computer.
• You will be provided with a laptop and all required software.

• The company will cover the cost of initial flights to the BVI.
• The company will cover the cost of work permit.
• The company will also provide you with your initial accommodation upon arrival.
