Assistant Project Manager (Construction Manager) – Finishes Full Time

My client is seeking to strengthen its team by bringing in additional Assistant Project Managers (Construction Manager) for involvement in Luxury Residential and Hotel/Resort builds, but with a high bias towards Luxury Finishes. Their short-term and long-term plans are to further develop this role over the next 18 to 24 months by working side-by-side with their Senior Project Managers, and then have them be ready to take on their own projects within this time period.

To be considered, you will have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and have experience as a Site Manager working for a Tier One or Tier Two UK Main Contractor, or within a contracting environment that focuses specifically within the Luxury Residential market.
• Or, have a strong Trade background, with solid management experience from within the Luxury Residential contracting market.
• Between 5-7 years’ experience of working in a Construction Manager / Assistant Project Manager (or Project Manager) capacity within the Build Environment
• A solid background in Luxury Finishes
• Experience on Luxury Residential projects of over £2m+
• Prior/current Caribbean (or other International) project experiences (highly advantageous, but not a necessity)
• A stable career history that ideally demonstrates experiences within the Luxury Residential and Hospitality sectors.
• IT Literacy is also a must.

Duties (but not limited to):

• Manage and monitor both in-house staff and subcontractors
• Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
• Deliver the project/package within programme and budget
• Liaise with client and designers
• Attend progress meetings and record and report directly to a Senior Project Manager
• Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site.
