Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Luxury New Build Full Time NEW

• Role: Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Location: Caribbean
• Sector: Construction – Commercial and Luxury Residential
• Remuneration: US$110k-$130k + Vehicle + Temporary Accommodation upon arrival + Relocation Flight + Local Benefits.

Our client is a progressive Main Contractor within the Caribbean region who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor, so this would suit someone currently at a more Intermediate level within their career, who is soon to be looking at stepping up into a Senior QS capacity (or has just stepped-up). Our client operates in the luxury commercial, hospitality, and residential sectors on projects from US$10m, to upwards of $100m+. With a strong pipeline of work, our client is keen to bring someone into the team who is looking for their next long term career step.

To be considered, you will have/be:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
• A solid background within a UK, Irish, Caribbean, or South African ‘Tier One/Tier Two main contracting’ environment.
• Experience of new build projects of values from US$10m+.
• Preconstruction/Estimating exposure (advantageous).
• Prior/current International experience is advantageous, but in no means essential.
• Between 6-10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Please note this is more an intermediate level posting).

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Procurement of materials from both local and overseas suppliers.
• Updating senior managers on the procurement and commercial activities.
• Assisting with Estimating and Bidding.
• Carrying out Value Engineering.
• Preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Setting Budgets & Preparing cash flows.
• Contract Administration.
• Prepare Interim payments & Approving payments for suppliers.
• Monitoring the construction cost during construction.
• Preparing Valuations, Measurements and Variations.
• Preparing Cost Value Reconciliation.
