My client is seeking to strengthen its team by bringing in an additional Assistant Project Manager (Construction Manager) for involvement in Luxury Residential and Hotel/Resort builds. Their short-term and long-term plan is to further develop this role over the next 18 to 24 months by working side-by-side with their Senior Project Managers, and then have them be ready to take on their own projects within this time period.
To be considered, you will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Experience as a Site Engineer, with solid exposure to Civils and Structural packages
Between 5-7 years’ experience of working in a Construction Manager / Assistant Project Manager (or Project Manager) capacity within the Build Environment
Experience of working for a Tier One or Tier Two UK Contractor
A solid background in the entire build process from Earthworks, through Concrete Structure, through to Finishes
Experience on projects over £10m+
Prior/current Caribbean (or other International) project experiences (highly advantageous, but not a necessity)
A stable career history that ideally demonstrates experiences within the Luxury Residential, Hospitality and/or Commercial sectors
IT Literacy is also a must.
Duties (but not limited to):
Manage and monitor both in-house staff and subcontractors
Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
Deliver the project/package within programme and budget
Liaise with client and designers
Attend progress meetings and record and report directly to a Senior Project Manager
Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site.
This is a long term position where the client is offering a competitive salary, expat benefits, and a defined career development path – all within sunnier climates…
