MEP Quantity Surveyor Full Time

• Role: MEP Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate level)
• Location: Caribbean

• Remuneration: US$80k-$100k + Vehicle + Relocation + Flight + Local Benefits.

My client is a progressive General Contractor within the Caribbean region who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the hiring of an MEP Quantity Surveyor, and this would suit someone currently at a more Intermediate level within their career. With a strong MEP presence, my client is keen to move forward and have someone within the team to focus solely on the MEP packages. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for their next long term career step.

Construction projects can range from US$5m to upwards of US$50m+ across the Hospitality, Commercial and Residential sectors.

To be considered, you will have/be:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or an MEP trade background with QS experience)
• A solid background within a UK based MEP contracting environment.
• Experience of new build Commercial, Hospitality, and/or Residential projects of values from US$5m+.
• Preconstruction/Estimating exposure is highly preferential.
• Between 5–8 years’ experience in the field.

Duties include (but are not be limited to):

• Procurement of MEP materials from both local and overseas suppliers.
• Updating senior managers on the procurement and commercial activities.
• Assisting with Estimating and Bidding.
• Carrying out Value Engineering.
• Preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Setting Budgets & Preparing cash flows.
• Contract Administration.
• Prepare Interim payments & Approving payments for suppliers.
• Monitoring the construction cost during construction.
• Preparing Valuations, Measurements and Variations.
• Preparing Cost Value Reconciliation.
