Senior Geotechnical Engineer Full Time

• Remuneration: US$90-120k (Tax Free) + Accommodation + Company Vehicle + Flights + Local Allowances (Potential for Rotational type Tenure)

Leading construction firm is seeking to hire a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead their geotechnical projects and be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Data analysis: Evaluating data and performing engineering analysis
• Project management: Leading tasks for field programs, directing engineering activities, and supervising other professionals
• Design: Designing infrastructure projects, including bridges, dams, and tunnels, multi- story buildings
• Technical analysis: Performing technical analyses and calculations, such as liquefaction evaluation and settlement
• Reporting: Preparing numerical analysis reports and presenting results to clients, stakeholders, and other engineers
• Mentoring: Mentoring entry-level staff and reviewing their work
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and other governmental regulations.

This is a long term opportunity with a solid pipeline of projects, inclusive of Airside Infrastructure works, 5-Storey Construction, LNG Projects, plus more.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• At least 7+yrs operating in the capacity of a Geotechnical Engineer.
• Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering or in Civil Engineering, or within a closely related field from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program (Required)
• Masters (MSc) in Soil or Rock Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology, or Foundation Engineering (Advantageous)
• Membership to, or Accreditation to: The Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS), Institution of Civil Engineering (ICE), or Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) (Advantageous).

The role can offer an immediate start (remote) and then following the work permit process, the position will require a relocation. This client can also offer a rotational type set-up which could be based as 3mths on location, 2wks back at home (but working remotely), or simply, full-time on location. Travel within the Islands will also be necessary.
