My client is a leading contractor and they are seeking an experienced Scheduler / Planner to join their team for projects located in The Bahamas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project master schedule and ensuring that scheduling goals are followed through the life cycle of the various projects.
5-10 years of project cost control and CPM scheduling experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
Proficiency in Primavera (P6), and Microsoft Office applications
Expert knowledge of resource loading of CPM schedules
Proficiency in utilization of construction documents to create CPM schedules
Proficiency in utilization of budget/cost estimates to resource load CPM schedules
The ability to analyze CPM schedules, perform critical path and delay/recovery analysis
International project management experience in the construction of large $50M + projects.
Duties are (but not limited to):
Develop and manage multiple project schedules
Be responsible for monthly schedule reporting
Develop Lookahead schedules
Assist the Management Team in utilizing the schedule as an active tool to coordinate and organize the work and minimize schedule impacts
Ensure Cost/Profit Goals are met
Ensure contractor performance is monitored and action plans are implemented when performance is unsatisfactory
Incorporate and audit contractor schedules
Develop strategies for resolution of schedule impacts with assistance of the Management Team
Be familiar with Field Construction Operations
Support procurement process by reviewing Scopes of Work
Read and understand the prime contracts, subcontracts and obligations
Ensure scheduling meeting minutes are maintained.
